What is the Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator?

The Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator is an award-winning medical device that allows you to physically clear mucus from your baby’s nose using a hygienic suction method.

What can cause a blocked nose?

It’s not unusual for a baby to get a blocked nose. There are lots of factors that can cause a blocked nose including:

  • Breathing in dry air.
  • Changes in the weather.
  • Viral infections (e.g. a cold).
  • Breathing in air pollutants or cigarette smoke.
  • Allergies.

Although a blocked nose is harmless, it can make your little one uncomfortable and irritated. Symptoms of a blocked nose in babies include:

  • Noisy or more noticeable breathing.
  • Snoring when asleep.
  • Mild difficulty when feeding.
  • Coughing.
  • A runny nose.
  • Sniffling.

How does this product clear a baby’s blocked nose?

The nasal aspirator offers instant relief from nasal congestion (blocked nose) and helps to prevent further complications like ear infections, coughs and stomach upsets. The Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator is paediatrician approved and is non-invasive- you never have to put the nozzle into your baby’s nostril- for maximum comfort. It’s clean, hygienic and easy!

How to use the Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator.

  • Wash well before first use.
  • Put the nozzle at the opening of the nostril (but not inside the nose) and suck through the mouthpiece.
  • You can vary the pressure and it’s not possible to over-such (never blow though!).
  • The mucus collects hygienically in the sealed chamber. Wash in warm water and it’s ready to use again.
  • Put it away in the handy storage case.

FAQ

At what age can you start using the Nasal Aspirator?

The Nasal Aspirator can be used from birth. It’s completely safe and paediatrician approved.

Will the mucus enter my mouth?

The mucus is held in the aspirator’s reusable chamber, which can be taken out and washed before the next use. There is no way the mucus will transfer from your baby’s nose to you.

Do you need to sterilise the Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator?

There’s no need to sterilise, just simply wash in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
